SELLING VINTAGE POKÉMON

Photos that start a conversation

A practical checklist for boxes, packs, raw cards, and graded cards.

GOOD LIGHT. SHARP DETAILS.

Start with the whole item.
Then get closer.

A window, a plain background, and your phone are enough to start. Avoid glare, filters, and cropped edges. Send original-resolution images when possible.

Booster boxes

Keep the factory wrapping in place.

  • Front, back, both sides, top, and bottom
  • Close-ups of wrap seams and seals
  • Any tears, dents, fading, stickers, or loose wrap
  • A group photo plus quantities for multiple boxes

Sealed packs

Keep the pack and its crimps untouched.

  • Full front and back, including all edges
  • Top and bottom crimped seals
  • Any holes, creases, separation, or wear
  • Each pack artwork and a total count

Raw single cards

Handle carefully by the edges.

  • Front and back with the whole card visible
  • Corners and edges in clear focus
  • Surface wear shown at a slight angle, avoiding glare
  • Set number and edition mark, when present

Graded cards & binders

Leave graded cards in their holders.

  • Front and back of each holder
  • A readable grade, label, and certification number
  • Binder page overviews, then key cards up close
  • Any holder damage and approximate card counts
